Testing Crank Shaft Sensor on a 1991 Z34 Help Please

hi i finnally got the oil pan crank shaft sensor out from help from a friend she had small hands

now i put a mulitmeter on the sensor and ran a piece of metal in front of it an i get flucations of voltage i get roughly like .03V to 0.20volts DC nothing on AC

is that good or bad? what should the reading be or what do i need to do to test it?


to do the test i held it in a vice and put a piece of paper between the sensor magnet and a punch

ok i got it fixed i guess the sesnor end wears off but i was able to get it off without taking off parts just need to hire a girl with thin hands they can get right in there

so my friend said she will charge half the garage will cost and takes her less then an hour to remove old one and put new sensor in

wish i knew her a few years back when it cost me 900 bucks to have a 50 dollar sensor put in
