I now hate my car

about a month ago I sprung a huge tranny leak while driving on the highway causing me to hafta pull the tranny to find where it was coming from. well, i got the tranny back in and it's free of leaks...so far. The cause was the front seal, it had popped almost completely out. anyway, i put the distributor back in, retimed it, filled the trans back up with fluid, then backed it out of the garage to finish up. I go to put it in park, and it won't go, I had to shove it up in park quickly to get it to go in park. therefore that tells me my shift cable is off a bit. I decide to adjust that after i get the fluid topped off and whatnot. while the car is running I notice that my speedometer is pegged, so i figure the VSS came unplugged. I jack up the left side of the car to get to the shift cable and VSS plug. the VSS plug is right where it belongs. I unbolt the cable and something inside must have broken because the cable is retracted and won't move back out at all. so the moral of the story is, my shift cable is broken for no reason, and the vss is malfuntioning out of nowhere, and to top it all off, when i start it back up to roll the windows up, the SES light starts flashing meaning "limp mode due to bad prom" anyone wanna buy my car?

That stinks...sorry that happened to you and your car. That's a bad looking vehicle though...my vote is its worth putting a little more effort into fixing it though...those kind of cars are hard to come by. I hope everything turns out alright. :)

i'm thinking that the electrical issues are due to melted wires that may have came in contact with the headers, i'll know for sure saturday.

 So which one is it, are they ripped/retracted or melted. :dunno:

yea, that's a bit too far for me.
anyway, I checked the wires, nothing is anywhere near the headers, all wires are in tact, and nothing is burnt or pinched. I'm open to ideas.
