I Beat A Camaro Z28 And A Subaru Legacy Tonight....
The Camaro Was Manual And Had A Catback...and The Subaru Had A Blow Off Valve And Intake, And Exhaust..
I Went Wit The Camaro From A Dig And I Started Pulling On It In Mid 2nd Gear.....as Soon As I Hit Third I Was Like A Car And A Half Ahead Of Him... We Went From A Secong Gear Roll And I Got Him Again.....
The Subaru Was Even Easier From Second Gear....but From A Stop I Would Catch Him As Soon As I Hit 2nd Gear...
I Guess It Was A Good Night For Me...

the previous owner tuned it...well at least thats wat they told me...

How much are you boosting?
I dont want to seem like Im calling you a liar, but the ls1 f-bodies are monsters even from the factory. Its not unheard of to break 12's with a stock car.
For you to pull on him the way you did suggest a critical driver error or a long mod list on your end.

Yeah, I was thinking of the same thing. My srt4 runs extremely well and will boost all the way up to 17psi but I didn't beat the ls1 Z I ran up against. It was neck and neck but that was about it. It was certainly a driver's race.

i understand....i think the driver sucked..lol.......cuz today i raced a mustang gt 2004....and i barely started pulling on him on third......im boosting 18 and holding 15......

I think it is possible. If it were an auto ls1 I would say no, but since the other driver had to shift his car that evens things out a lil. Plus you have to have tires and driver skill to run 12s in a stock ls1.

i beat a auto ls1 before.....we were on a 40mph roll though....

you guys are making me want to get an srt-4.... do you get a lot of torque steer and wheel spin in low gears...
and wat stage srt-4 do you have,1,2,3,or 4

Torque steer has been avoided by going to the gym!

Ahh, our cars virtually have no torque steer. They are set up with equal length half shafts to help eliminate that. Also, the stage kits are for those that don't know how to get real power out of these cars and just want a total bolt on. When you see a guy that knows his way around these cars you'll notice hardly any of them have anything above a stg 1 ecu in them.

sorry guys its fatkat89 i had to get rebadged .... but any way.. i did not kno that the stage upgrades were so unpopular, because in stage 3 i hear its putting out 300+ and stage 4 is compared to the base model c6 vette'

thats definetely not something i can answer my srt owning friends below should be able to answer that but from my understanding the only difference between stage one and two is turbo output

S1 and S2 have many differences in what they physically come with but only affect the stock turbo slightly. S2, in my opinion, is the biggest waste of money for it's lack of performance to money ratio.
If you put a walbaro and 682 injectors then you are going to need something to tune it with because that's going to be a lot of fuel.

E1 turbo, DETC, stage 2 inj, returnline, If you have any cash left get a wideband. Some form of 3 in exhaust and o2 housing would be nice too but prob not in price range. With a good tune you will be around stage 3 power. This is what I am gonna do if I can save enough money.

Yep you are spot on. S1 is alright for what you get for the money and the simplicity of it. I mean on a '04 or '05 you are just swapping out the pcm. S2, is a waste for the money to power ratio. S3, although it can get some decent power I think it too is pricey compared to what you could do on your own. It just boils down to what you want to do, what you want to spend, and if you can do it yourself. Like I said before MOPAR's staged kits are great for the person wanting more power but isn't savvy on watching all kinds of engine managment stuff. If you can do that, then clearly you should stear away from the kits. Well, maybe not the s1 but that's it.
