Okay, so I finally got around to taking off my intake plenum and valve cover off to get it polished but I'm stuck with the plenum. Everything's off but there's that motor, the Variable Induction Control (VIC) Motor I think it's called, that's still on there and I don't know what to do with it. I took it off my plenum but then inside had some yellow "thingy" with some type of spring "thing" to it and I just said "OH SH*T!" LOL

So yeah, how do you go about taking that whole VIC Motor thing off so I could send just the plenum off to get it polished? I don't how to take the inside yellow springy thing out properly!?!

Also, how should I cover up the area that's open since the valve cover has been removed? I just put saran wrap to cover it right now but I don't know if this would be good enough or not.

Well, I've been taking pictures so when I have time I'll post them so you guys could see the "progress." Hehe It's just for engine looks I know...not for power power.

shove a clean rag over the manifold to protect the engine. I dont think you even have to remove the VIC to get it polished. They shoud work around it.

Okay, so I have some crappy news. I just called 3sx and they said that if I wanted the letters shaved off the valve cover then I would have to shave them off myself before sending it to them. They won’t do it. UGH...so what do I shave off the letters with? I want certain letters shaved but want everything nice and smooth. This sucks...

I'd 10000 grit sandpaper and take two months off of work. J/k, but in all seriousness I would see if you could find some sort of metal works shop that would machine it off for you for a reasonable price. That's my .02
