Please help!!!
I have a Chevrolet pickup (1986) with a 305, recently I had distributor problems. Long story short, I replaced the distributor (including a new pickup coil, control module etc. the entire distributor and contents are new), the truck sat for approximately 6 months during this time. I can start the motor and it seems to run okay at higher rpms, however it will not idle, it just dies as if it was starving for fuel. Does anyone have any ideas why? What can I try?
Thanks

Have you verified the static timing against the #1 cylinder at TDC?

sorry im not sure if this is fuel injected or not.. either way check and replace the fuel filter.. if it is electronically controled check the iac(idle air control motor) GOOD LUCK
