Hood/roof have 3 coats of wax; body has 2 - at this point.

Have done all of the upgrades this girl's gonna get - her luggage rack is off right now, see no sense in carrying it all the time.

It's about time! Beginning to wonder if you really had a Rodeo!

Looks great! What are the crossbars you have up top? You just left the factory rack up there? I have a new stantion coming from St. Charles this week to replace the one I broke on summer vacation. When I took the rack off to paint the crossmembers 3 years ago, I put the bars on backwards (it can be done!), so when I ordered the new stantion, I ordered the wrong one. Once again, Merlin at St. Charles has gone above and beyond! I'd like to get something up there which is a little sturdier. I delayed thinking I'd have to get rid of the existing rack.

Again, it looks really clean. I actually wish I didn't have the chrome package.

Thank you! Oh yep, there'll always be a Rodeo at my place.

Yeap, I left the factory rack - mainly because I didn't want to mess with the frustration of knowing there were holes in the roof that would need patched/sealed if I had taken the rack off, AND, I'm sure there would be major scuffing/paint peeling issues that would show up.

I have the 58" crossbars, Yakima set-up; as you can see from other pics I've posted, I carry a lot up top, the factory rack did it's share for a good 2-3yrs, but just didn't quite trust it.

You could probably get away with the 45" or 48" crossbars from Yakima, I mainly did the 58" bars so that they can be transferred to the wider cabbed rig you see there in the pic as well.

Funny you mention the chrome, always thought when we got this Rodeo that it looked bare compared to our XS Rodeo that came with chrome.

Opinion - do you like the 2" lift or no??

I'm so embarassed. Always prided myself on keeping clean polished vehicles. Mine looks like a junker next to yours now. Engine is filthy (just found out this weekend I have another oil leak :banghead: ) plus lots of dust from the last few wheeling trips. Outside looks like hell with the dents and scratches. And the sprinklers where I park always spraying on it doesnt help any. Yours definatly doesnt look like a 10 yr old truck.

Hey Giz, I can only contribute her lack of major scratches to the 3-4 wax job coats she gets every year. Seeing all of the trails this girls been down, it's a wonder she HAS paint left at all.

But, she does have a mild share of visual ouwie's - take a look at the drivers side rear panel, just an inch above the exhaust pipe, she got nailed by a kid on a dirt bike. If you look at the drivers door handle, about an inch or two below that was a run in with a gas station cement barrier, left the paint, but gave her a 1/4 crease - wind caught the door and ripped it out of my hand.

On the bumper, to the left (driver's side) of the spare tire, you'll see a dent, I backed into the boat trailer; on the hood, though you can't see in the pictures - truth be told, you have to almost lay your head ON the hood sideways, there's REAL minor hail damage from 4yrs ago.

And, my most recent one, tailgate on the passanger side - not seen in the pics, truck slid out of the driveway during our last wintery snow/blizzard and ran into the mailbox on the other side of the road. Again, no paint is missing, just a mild indention about 1/2" long - not too bad.

That was weird actually, we were shoveling the driveway and kept hearing this creaking sound but just thought it was ice cracking from the bitter cold -15f that day; looked up and the Rodeo was just sliding away, going on down the hill. Mailbox actually stopped her from rolling off the hill in the wildlife preserve.

I do take great pride in keeping my engine bays clean.

However, if you look at the front of the grill on the Rodeo, there's black screen mesh that I put in that extends from the top radiator support all the way down to the front skid plate underneith; this has helped IMMENSLY in keeping the bugs, debris, etc out of the radiator/ac condensor, and it's kept down the amount of dirt that gets sucked into the engine bay.
