My new 05 SAABaru 2.5i Linear

No it really does say 2.5i on the right side of the latch for some reason..I'll debadge it later though surely I'm keeping the SAAB Lion emblem.

Fully loaded with cold weather package (ass warmers, side mirror defrost, wiper deicer etc), leather, roof, Xenons, light angle adjustments..etc 2005 w/ 23K miles.

My first newish car and first stick-shift. I had experience from my friend giving me two lessons and doing valet.

The clutch seems more challenging than other cars like Honda and BMW, though still better than the heavy ass clutch of the Mustang GT I drove or the 350Z.

You guys have pointers on how to engage? I just release the clutch in 1st until the point I know it contacts while foot on brakes and gas it at same time releasing brakes keeping it above 1K rpm until I lett go of the clutch in stop/go traffic.
I guess since it has a hydraulic clutch I can't really feel it as easy as other cars.
Also, Is the stick lever supposed to kinda vibrate?

The ride is great in the car even on NYC highways. I even found out the morons at the dealership put 40-41 PSI in ALL the RE92 tires lol. Of course I checked with an accugage after a few hours parked. I did 36/35 and it'll probably ride even better.

I got the car for $13,600 out the door after taxes, fees, title, registration n all that bs which came out to like $1300. I traded in a 95 ex v6 accord w/ 123K miles that had some dents and minor body damage.

Shifter will vibrate slightly, this isn't unusual in any manual transmission, Subaru are very specific about not using the shifter as a handrest though.
You should be able to pull away smoothly between 1k and 1,5k rpm, anything more and you're wasting gas.

Tyre pressure is still high, please adjust it to the recommended pressure.

TY. I read the manual and it says the same thing about holding it which makes sense since keeping it from naturally vibrating will put a strain on the tranny. Yes, recommended Tire pressure is 35/32. I think 32 is too low for a tire that goes up to 51PSI max for my specific size.

By the way, I always wondered about your signature. That's an 06-07 body Subaru but what type of racing is that? I thought they only do rally and such officially.
They should make the 08 look like that, just raise it, spoiler optional.

If you want to second guess Subaru about what tire pressure they recommend, please make sure to call them and tell them you are disregarding the vehicle manufacturer recommendations so they can void the appropriate warranty areas.
Now that I have said that, I will also point out that tire pressure is related to vehicle weight, so unless you're an automotive engineer with a specialisation in tires, please follow the recommended vehicle manufacturer pressure.

The Cusco Impreza is raced in the GT300 class in Japan, it is indeed a factory Subaru team. Subaru has teams in touring car classes all over the world as well as rally.

Yes Like when I had NO tire problems with my 95 Honda I had for 2 years with much higher than recommended tire pressure.
You guys can be goody 2 shoes, put spec PSI, pay 100$ extra for OEM tires, waste gas and performance..

Please, relate to me how many awd cars you've owned and how much you know about the Subaru awd system.

I'm being serious because you're going to fuck up the AWD system on your car. On fwd and rwd you can get away with running different tires front to back or different pressures, it's not a good thing to do with awd.

Recommended spec is different front to back so watchu dalkin bout willis?

Yes I know that for mechanical reasons the tire diameters much match all around because of the viscous center. And when I checked they did. There will always be a slight variation and for a fluid type differential it aint ganna bother it aiight.
