I'm buying tickets for tomorrow night's concert, TOOL at the Times Union Center, while listening to 46 and 2. I can't wait for this!! At first I thought I wouldn't be able to get tickets but I'm checking online on the hour, they're still available. Still waiting to hear back from someone that wants to go.
UPDATE- I GOT FLOOR SEATS!!!

I flew out to Peoria, Illinois to see them and it was worth every penny. One of, if not THE, best show I've ever seen. Unfortunately the Peoria Conventionn Center fucked up Maynards vocal volume so you could barely hear him. But the laser show more than made up for that.

That was the best concert I have ever ever ever gone to, and we were sitting CLOSE. I'm still having hearing issues...but you were absolutely right about the lightshow. They filled the whole arena with smoke and shot lasers all over the place, different colors, shapes. That Bassist is something else, we were watching him play because he was closest. Maynard is the man, he really knows how to get into the music, the whole band frickin rocked.
When they were taking a break they did the lighter thing, and I turned around to see the whole arena filled with lights. But it didn't beat looking at the lazers over your heads. They played:
Jambi
Stinkfist (Extended)
46&2
Schism (Extended)
Lost Keys
Rosetta Stoned
Flood ( Extended Intro)
-----------------
Wings For Marie Pt.1
10,000 Days
Lateralus (Extended/Solo)
Vicarious

this is why they will always be my favorite band. each memeber is phenomenal at what they do, but alone they're just great musicians, in tool they hold me enthralled. Glad you enjoyed the show, Dyno. Did you buy a tour shirt?

I hate when people talk about 'badass concerts' that have never seen a tool show.
They just don't know :p

They were like 50 bucks...that was how much the tickets cost me. I denied the tour shirts...mildly regrettably.
LJasonL, I haven't been to many concerts, but when I did go, I saw Alice Cooper and The Who, so I didn't listen to pushovers. Tool is that new progressive sound I needed to hear though, I totally rock out to all their songs, and it was harder because metal has only been hardest in the 90's and 00's, whereas I watched 60's and 80's bands. It was a totally different experience seeing Tool, not to mention FRESH!
