help with engine top end noise vanos?

I have a 94 325i and it has a tappinng noise/growl comming from the very front top of the valve cover, you can place your hand on the cover and feel
it tapping it quiets down when you rev it up.

it tapping it quiets down when you rev it up.That's the vanos unit starting to go. If you want to eliminate the noise, replacement is required
