srs light is on asap help me!!!!

i have a 97 grand prix with the air bag light on how do i read the code can not pull the code throw the ob2 plugg is there anothe way to pull the code with out going to the dealer when i get the code were can i find what the code is . the srs light flashes 7 times and then stays on????????????????

You need to take the car to a dealer or mechanic who has a scanner that can read air bag codes. The normal obd2 code reader will not do this as it takes a special scanner. It is important that you do this since the air bag may not work if you are involved in an accident.
