Locked the keys in the trunk! lol

I have a friend that has a 99 c280 and he locked his key in the trunk. He said the controls for the trunk are locked out and he cant figure out how to open his trunk or get into the trunk. Anyone have any suggestions? Its starting to rain and he has a tarp over his car because the roof and windows are open.
