2000 Celica GT engine swap?

I just bought a 2000 Celica Gt, it has a 1ZZFE engine in it, i need to know if i can put a 2000-2005 corolla engine in it, they are both 1.8L but will the tranny or engine mounts line up? what else will need to be changed? and are there other engines that will work for this swap?

Yes, it will work. You can use either the 1zz-fe or the 2zz-ge from the Celica GT-S/Corolla XRS/Matrix XRS/Pontiac Vibe GT.

can you list all possible years, makes and models of cars that the engine can be swaped with? and is it a bolt off and on job or are their some engines where things dont line up?
