Water in Passenger Side Floorboard

And a LOT of it. 98 GP GT 3800. It is not the drain tube for the A/C. Cleared that....only happens when it rains. It has been raining a lot too. It is leaking from under the dash some where and I cannot seem to figure out where. Went out today and it had an inch of water there....never been this bad. Any ideas?

Remove the wiper blades and remove the black cowling under the blades along the windshield. Check the rubber channel that diverts water away from the heater duct. I'll bet you that it has dropped down and is allowing water to enter the heater ductwork. Glue it back in place and the problem should go away.

I had the same issue with my '00 GT, recently too. I didn't have to remove my wipers either. First I turned the cars power on with the wipers running, then stopped the wipers once in the upright position. Then I removed whatever fasteners/screws that hold down the black cowl under the wipers (passenger side only). Then I just grabbed the cowl on the passenger side & lifted it up. My rubber channel wasn't where it was suppose to be, so I put in place with some rubber adhesive from autozone. Then I put the cowl back in place & ran some window sealant (clear) also from autozone, along the top of the cowl where it meets the windshield.

I'm not sure if fixing the rubber channel alone solved the problem, but I do know that I no longer have a flooded passenger side floor when it rains.

If you search this forum, you'll find alot of post about this problem. One post even has pictures of the rubber channel that usually falls out of place.

Update......I have not been able to get in and fix this problem yet (the rain stopped....till today that is). Anyway.....it POURED today for about 30 minutes....I walked out to see the damaged in the carpet...it is bone dry???? What the heck is going on here guys.....why would it leak and then not leak....I don't get it

Parked at a different angle? Perhaps the water drained off to the side enough to hit the drain instead of the heater box.

I'd almost bet dollars to donuts it's the rubber weatherstrip beneath the cowl. You'll need some weatherstrip sealant ($2 at your favorite parts store) and some patience to get the wiper arms off. There's some pressure at the base from the springs and you don't want to strip the threads on the posts.

I am having blower problems, and discovered that about 1/4 cup of water came from the blower when I unplugged it. This may be where your water is coming from. Does anyone know how I got water in my blower?
