Heated Leather

It was a little chilly this morning on my way to work, so I thought I'd turn on the heated seats on low for a few minutes. There was one spot on the bottom left side of my back that go so hot. I put my hand back there and it was so hot it almost burned it. Now I see that there is a spot there where it looks like it got the leather too hot and made a small mark on the seat.

What happened? any suggestions?

It sounds like the insulating material around the heat coils came apart and the coil is resting directly against the leather.

Hey, thanks for the reply, Thats kinda what I thought, but didn't know if thats ever happend to anyone else or how I should fix it. I was going to try taking the seat cover off this weekend and seeing if I can fix it. If you have any helpful tips on how to do that, by all means feel free to share.

Thanks
