Question About Aftermarket Stereo Install

Hello!
Quick question that probably has a simple answer. My Silhouette came with the CD/Tape/AM/FM set up and has the cotrols on the steering wheel as well as the rear passenger headphones/control set up.
I have a better deck that I want to install that I took out of my Neon before I traded it in.
So my question is - if I get the direct connect harness, will I still have the steering wheel and rear compartment capabilites, or will that go with the old kit. To be honest, this is probably not going to change my mind about putting in the new deck, I just thought it would be neat if it would carry over.
By the way, the newer deck is completely digital - it has what appears to be an analog volume control, but also has a remote. Thanks in advance for the help.

Check with Crutchfield.com....I seem to recall they sold kits that allowed the existing steering wheel controls to continue working...Not sure, but worth a look....Glen

Thanks for both of the replies. I didn't even think to contact them as being the best source. I was trying to see if anyone has actually done it or not. Thanks again!
