99 Burb - cargo doors won't unlock

I have a 99 Suburban with rear cargo doors. The key lock has never been used and is frozen - the key will not even enter half way. No amount of lube has changed the situation. The automatic locks no longer work. The contacts must not be touching or must be corroded. The doors are locked. I can no longer open these doors. Now what?

If you can get them open there are contacts on the upper part of the door for lock/unlock and the defroster. The top one is unlock, the second one is lock and the bottom 2 are for the defroster. The unlock one on my Burb sticks sometimes. I take it off the body, clean it with contact cleaner and put some white lithium grease on it. It will usuallly stick in the spring after all the salt from winter. To get the door open without the key, you could try climbing over the seats and removing the door panels and moving the lock manually.

You might be able to slide something in where the contacts are, and attempt cleaning them from inside... Like maybe a points file?

thank you. I really like this truck and was frustrated.
I took the back panels off and unlocked the door that way. I didn't realize the mechanism was that simple or easy to reach. The panels came off and locked back in tight. I cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner, but the auto lock still isn't functioning. I am fine with that as long as the doors open. Unlocked is better than locked. I appreciate all the information.
