Thinking About An Upgrade

been driving my 97 ext cab silverado since 00, she's a good truck but thinking about upgrading to a newer 4 door version.
its an 05 silverado 5.4 w/ tow package

don't know how the new trucks compare to old, can anybody give me the pros and cons.....
