high flow cats

I've got a 91 integra LS and I'm looking at possibly getting a high flow cat. My engine is pretty well all stock at the moment. Would getting one be a good idea right now? Should i have a better exhaust first? And are the Bomz cats you see on Ebay worth the price? I'm abit sceptical of Ebay that "ebay performance" stuff so any insite would be great.

I say go for it, get the HF cat. The stock cat is very restrictive. The only thing is, if you were going to get a new Exhaust and you are going to pay someone to install, may as well have the 2 done at the same time and save on Install, but if you are a do it yourself type person, I would asy go for it (IMO). I dont know about the Ebay cats, I got a custom Catco from www.summitracing.com to match up perfectly to my stock for like $80. Since then, I have removed my Converter and am running test pipe till E-Check in another year or so.

perhaps you'll find this site useful:

So my exhaust is going to stink a little then..?.. Will it really be bad enough to make a hi-flow cat not good for daily driving???

I have DC headers, Cheap OBX Racing Cat, and Tanabe Exhaust on my daily driver sedan...
( I say cheap because OBX is just cheap copies of everything else..And I got it for Free..)
But if your behind my car it REALLY smells...You can also smell it in the car...I've grown used to it and I don't think thats good for me....But who knows...
I'm thinking of going with a straight pipe...
But for performance it helps..Not much...But compared to stock Yes you will feel a difference...

it shouldnt make it smell unless theres something wrong with your engine. the only time my exhaust smells is for the first couple minutes in the morning when i first start it. but it never smells while driving around. and ive tried to smell it cause i was paranoid back when i had to get smogged. just go for it. its not the best mod, but its a cheap and easy start.
