Can anyone tell me how to get my remote reset to work?
1997 Escort Wagon with one remote and no keypad on the door.
nothing happens when the remote is used, and new batteries.

1. Turn the igniton switch from OFF to ON five times within ten seconds, ending in ON.
2. NOTE: If the RAP module successfully entered program mode, it will LOCK then UNLOCK all doors.
Press any button on the keyless entry remote transmitter.
3. NOTE: The door locks will LOCK then UNLOCK to acknowledge that the keyless entry remote transmitter has successfully been programmed.
To program additional keyless entry remote transmitters, repeat step 2.
4. NOTE: The door locks will LOCK then UNLOCK one last time to indicate the new transmitters have been programmed and program mode is now exited.
When finished programming all transmitters, turn the ignilton switch OFF
