Lift-off fiberglass hood

Anyone ever put a lift off fiberglass hood on a 3rd gen? I just bought one from summit racing and its fits like total shit. If I line the hood up with the fenders and the rest of the body lines then there is a gap between what I guess you would call the front bumper and the hood that i can fit my hand through. Even if i try to close that gap it still wont seal up all the way. anyone ever ran into this problem or had any dealings with fiberglass lift off hoods?

i had a fiberglass hoos but it wasnt lift off..and it didnt line up that great either.. i think we pulled the side molding up and a bit over to make it look half way decent... it sucked ass though, everyone asked whats up with the gap.... i hated it!

yeah but this is right in the front, makes it look like either my hood isnt closed all the way or my front end is sagging like a drunken grin. It pisses me off that i just spent like 390 bucks on the dam thing and its a piece of shit.

fitment is determined by a lot of things.... first is the company that makes the hood... if it's cheap it will probably fit like shit and 2nd is the alignment of your body pannels... especially if ur car has been in any kind of accident... i have a fiberglass hood and it doesnt fit perfect but it's not off enough for me to care about
