Hey guys iv been seeing a lot of accords around with headlights that are the same blue color as a BMW or s2000 lights, i bought some that said they would be blue and they look the same as my originals, so what brand is the bluest, but still leagle

well im not sure about your laws, but when i got pulled over in CA, i was told that any aftermarket modification isnt legal. the only reason the hid systems are legal on those cars is because they come that way from the manufacture.
if you want some, try hiper industries. they dont have a distinct blue tint, but they look nice and are far from stock.

i definitely agree on the hiper industries headlights, i have had them in my del Sol for 2+ years and they are perfect, never had a problem. i also have them in my new accord but not for as long, but they are definitely the bluest aftermarket headlights that i have seen. i am not sure about how legal they are but i have never had a problem in all that time here in pennsylvania.

oh and about that legality issue, they probably are illegal, but unless its the end of the month and the cop is pissed off he wont waste his time. btw, all bulbs i have purchased say "for offroad use only". if you want a brighter light, buy a pair of 9005 bulbs. all you have to do is trim the inside tabs and one of the outside ones so it will lock onto the harness properly.

there are plenty of headlights on eBay for a fraction of that price, i just got another pair of hyper industries for my girlfriend's car because they're great in mine and they were only $17 shipped.

Wuz up yung !!! I just put some blue lights on my 97 Accord and they turned out a good blue color. The brand I used was Silverstar, but they are not gonna be as blue or bright as a BMW because you don't have and HID system which makes them brighter, but they will give ya light a bluish white shade. Hit my page up in a few days and I'll have some pics up there so u can see what i'm talkin about.

if u want to see the same lighting that the BMW's or S2000's have, then get HID's. most nice euro cars come with them stock, but they are sooooo sweet as a mod. as soon as i get my car actually quick, then imma get them. 100 percent legal, and they look better then any bulbs out there.

T C,
Checked eBay for "hyper industries" and cannot get any listings or results. How long did the bulbs last? Need it for my 91 Accord, and need one that's proven not to melt any wirings. Purchased a pair from "bulbwarehouse" and they look good but lasted less than a year. They have a lifetime warranty but good luck in getting any reply from them, now listed on eBay as"not a registered user".

if u want white bright and with a bluish tint, i'd say go for raybrigs. they cost more than these other conventional brands, but they look much better. i'm running cheap ass eurolite's on my 'cord right now, and when i compare them to my buddy's piaa's, the piaa's are much brighter, but costing around a hundred more.
but mine are blue since i have a couple of blue bulbs running right under the H4 bulb in my lense, and where i live, i haven't been pulled over yet. but if u want something good, raybrig is the way to go.

oh, and since u have an 89 accord, u have to do a h4 lens conversion first. cuz the stock headlights are sealed beam.
gotta get the lense conversion, then u will be able to get the bulbs in.
the lens conversions cost around 40 bucks. more or less depending where u get them.

OK guys, just installed Hiper Industries bulbs on my ride, like you suggested. Got it cheap at eBay, $15.99 + $10 S/H for both High and Low beam combo. I'm happy with the color I'm getting, bright white with just a hint of blue. Really far away from the stock ones I removed. Lets see how long they last, hopefully a long time. Thanks!:D

Who cares if they are legal. What's the worst that could happen, a warning? Maybe the cops are more sticklers where you are, but around here you can talk your way out of something petty like that.
I use the cheap ass APC blue lights. They are the bluest I've seen.

Yeah i'd say look into the APC blues that are for "offroad use only" like loesch said. I mean in PA it's only a 20 dollarper bulb fine anyways. I was pulled over for lights once. They didn't even notice the blue headlights, they were just mad that I had clear bumper lenses and clear bulbs in them.

yeh.. if you wanna know the best bulbs. holla at me on aim Xplodezz i know almost every bulb and whats the best for blue tint, purple tint... and heres a little hint .. if its "DOT/SAE Approved" its going to suck no matter how fancy the label.. DOT only approves Yellow or Pure 100% White output bulbs.. my bulbs are bluer than 2nd gen HID's almost identical.. (Yes theyre 200% illegal and will never get pulled over for them) they costed me around 110 for the pair but theyre worth it.. My cousin thought i got a brand new X5 when he saw my lights at night..
Also POLARG's are very good bulbs, very nice.. im gonnna have to say that Piaa and polarg are the top quality bulb makers on the market rite now. theirs a few more little ones but these make the top quality sh*t.
Holla Ztec u mah boy.. !

i understand your point. i am more under performance and long lasting, and im hoping piaa will give that to me. apc and other stuff is just weird and i dont think they put out as much output as piaa....but i can return a piaa within a day just to really see whats up.
so we will see, this girl im jocking needs some 9004's, ill buy her the cheap shit and get me the good shit hahahahahha.

yeah, well the bulbs like piaa and polarg are designed for performance and output, which means they will not last as long , but its up to your preference and your wallet, personally i buy quality, if you got the extra money to spend its definately worth it, but by no means necesary.. its all preference if you prefer OEM thats cool.. all by preference neways

well i want a bulb that will last long, and most of the time i seen people run piaas without going out, correct me if im wrong. i just want to have it white, not stock yellowish. and a little brighter at the same time. if u have any suggustions, let me know..and a price for that type of bulb 9006...
o on a side note, this girl wants some 9004's for her car. any good white (near) decent price?

well i was really surprised at the differnce between yellow and white light. nice and beutiful when compared side to side. but visibility was less..the standard stock halogen was less defused than the silverstars...
no doubt its brighter but almost the same as my stocks. im kinda dissapointed...people has had good results when converting from 9005 to 9006 silver stars but at 40 bucks for 2, iono if its worth it. i might just buy some standard GE extended outputs and then convert them from 9005 to 9006...20 bucks.
ill roll with them tomrrow night, better not burn out...walmart said i can return it no matter what.
sucks.

ive never used silverstars so i cannot judge them, what i do say tho, i had piaas xtreme white plus , before i sold them, i noticed a 10% increase in visible light to oem, and i noticed that they lit up road signs 50% better than stock, although everyones different..

You can always put in a real H.I.D. headlight conversion kit. I did that on my Accord and also on my Eclipse. They are amazing and totally worth the money. They have different intensity settings which change the color appearance from a deep purplish color like the Porsche's to bluish to the super bright white color. You would be astounded at how they light up the road. They are worth the money. I got mine at www.hidkits.com. Just a thought:bigthumb:

How much did you pay? I heard they can be pretty pricey. I saw some on ebay though for only about $250-300 as opposed to the $400+ I usually see.
I plan on converting my H1's in my projectors to HID in a few months. It should be pretty sweet.:icon16:

Hmm, they must be having trouble with the site right now. Maybe it will work later. If anyone needs the phone number or would like to talk to the guys there, I can always get the phone number.
I got mine a year or so ago so I paid in the 700.00 range, but they have come down and I think are somewhere in the 400-500 dollar range. The kits are really nice and if you have any problems with the product, the guys there have no problem helping you out as far as exchanges or warranties. I highly recommend them if you are willing to spend that kind of money because the way they light up the road is unbelievable and your car looks cool to top it off.
Good luck to anyone who goes for it. You won't be sorry.:2cents:

Well i figured.. ive tried almsot every bulbs their is and im on to a 9005 SilverStar conversion.. i just put them in today they are bright bright bright during the day.. still look a lil bit yellowish but im comparing them to my Spark Blues which are 2nd Gen HID Color.. plus i see "whore" blue.. ive decided to move away from the blue bulbs for the simple fact that. BLUE IS NOT EVEN THE REAL HID COLOR, WHITE IS...... So now im back to HyperWhites fuck blue, i not gonna like my piaa sparks are teh shit ima roll with em when i wanna be big pimpin but overall i think i gonna try these silverstars, very very WHITE output. headon still maybe yellowish .. but i dont think it is i think im not used to it yet, il compare them side by side with stock.
