I have got 97 corolla @ 100,000 miles on it. Last month my car had the following trouble. when ignition key is turned on, sometimes car will start, while some times it wont. Once started there is no trouble in restarting again within 15 minutes. but if try it after 12 hrs again same problem.
I thought it was battery and I replaced it at Firestone with brand new battery. The trouble went away for a month. But the same trouble has started over again. I have to try five or six times before it starts. it appaeras as if the battery is discharged, but the battery I checked with voltmeter and shows 12.6V. please help to suggest what needs to be done . thanks.

We need more information. If you mean the starter just clicks but does not crank, that's a known Toyota starter problem. The plunger inside the starter and the contacts it hits are known to develop corrosive pitting. You can buy a replacement plunger and contacts and fix this yourself. Or you can just buy a replacement starter. If you want to fix it yourself, try this link:http://www.nationsautoelectric.com/Nippondenso.html
