i want to add a tow pack to my 98 villerger. i'm going to get a trany cooler. replace my shocks as well (they need replaced anyway) anyone have any suggestions on strut brand. i'm looking at Monroe Sensa-Trac / Monroe Monro-Matic Plus / KYB Strut Gas GR2 / or should i use Air shocks which i rather not do. or is there a different brand anyone could recommend
also if my springs are not broke i feel i should not change them is that a good idea or not.

thanks

It really depends on what you plan to tow and carry on board. The tranny cooler is cheap and easy. Its about 35 bucks for a small cooler that you can fit in front of your radiators and even have a good place to mount it there. Change the oil and use Ford transmission fluid.(I would) Replace your shocks with monroe sensatracs they are mad e for loads and bumps. Kyb is like oem but they are weak for heavy loads. As far as the leaf springs are concerned try it out with only the shocks and if you need a lift after that then just add leaf spring blocks they are an expensive choice to get you the results you may need and then some since the villager does not that much of a towing capacity to begin with.
