Well I am not quite sure where this fits so I decided to post under street

I have been working on this Bronco for some time now and I figured I might as well start to finish it up. The body is resin and came from AFX a few years ago. I would say close to 80% of the Bronco is scratch built. I still have a ways to go but it is getting there.

Enjoy the pics

I still have a ton of work left on the front including painting. I hope to get on the body and prep it for paint as well.

Thanks, it is scratched. I have plans to cast some of these batteries in resin one day.

Wow, gorgeous scratching!

Everything looks like it fits like a glove, like out of a tamiya kit!

Super job!

I wish we had more people into these builds. I have only seen a few here including myself. This looks awesome, it really does. I love the coils and the rear steer. Where did you get the Boggers though? I have been finding a few placs here or there, but nothing like I want.

Thanks guys

I bought the Boggers from RPP Hobby. I also bought the wheels from him as well. They are aluminum wheels with photo etched centers and beadlock rings.

The tires are pretty cheap, about $9.00 for a set of four. They also come with a nice set of Weld wheels as well.

Looks freakin' awesome! This is a superb build so far. The only question - are the piston rods on the shocks not too thin? I can imagine bending them out on the trail, and that'd be no fun :( Nonetheless, everything is stellar! The scratchbuilt tube frame is amazing, and all the details you're adding are great! I particular like how you narrowed the front and rear. Excellent!

Paint has been accomplished but not without it's problems.

Even though I didn't want this Bronco to be refered to the Monster Garage Bronco, it does share some similarities in the way it looks. I wanted to keep the paint looking somewhat vintage with the white top and I could not get over the light blue with the white top combo, so that is what it got. Once again I go back to the MG Bronce again.

The paint peeled in one spot and I need some help on how I can go about fixing this. If I have to strip the body I will just weather the model and that area will become part of some rack rash on the model. I would much rather fix it but I hate painting and I don't want to start over again.

I added some mesh to the front grille area as well.

fantastic looking build! I do however think the shock/coilover rods are a bit to thin, and the springs a bit to thin as well.

other than that it is a VERY good looking truck, I can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks guys, here are the finished pics of the truck. I still want to add a few more decals to it but I need to sit down and make them.

White R34, check out my photobucket album, there are a few models in there that I have built.

Bad Ass! Does it flex (articulate)? Hate to nitpick what I have never done, but the fender edges are way to thick. They really detract form the scale of the model. I also think the coils are to thin. They are much thicker in real 1:1. I really am not trying to detract from your build. This is incredible, it really is.

This thing is too cool! Great work on it!! Lots of nice details.

Bigjeepzz

Nope, it soesn't articulate. I wanted to originally make a working suspension but I could not find a spring that would compress under the weight of the model.

The body was resin and you are correct it was super thick. I didn't want to mess with trying to thin it out. After looking at the shocks I can see where the shaft needs to be bigger in diameter. Oh well maybe the next one, LOL

Thanks for the comments they are always appreciated.

Jake
