there is a bar that goes from ur rearend to the back of the trans thats givin me problem i put a new motor and trans in the car and that bar is not long enought to reach the trans can i just take that bar off the car and put traction bars or does that bar have to be hooked up to the trans

Torque arm...without it your rearend will try to depart the car on a hard acceleration.

Spohn and others make a trans crossmember with a mount for their own aftermarket torque arms, so you don't need the "special" tail housing for the torquearm mount. http://www.spohn.net/

It dont have to hook to the back of the transmission. In fact its better to use the crossmember bolts. You cant just weld it up solid it has to be able to move around. As mentioned, aftermarket parts might be the way to go. By design they usually attach to the crossmember wich would be a sure fix for one of your problems. They are adjustable but i dont think you can "stretch" them you will still likley be in for some metal fab.
