Check engine light is on and getting code Po440.Sometimes it won't start.I have to keep trying for an hour or so.Once started no problems untill I shut it off.Sometimes it starts somestimes it doesn't.

YOur starting problems are probably not related to P0440. I currently have P0440 also. WIll check all connections, electrical and hoses, to purge valve, front passenger side, between battery and radiator.
Starting problems are often related to idle control valve: remove and clean.

I cleaned idle air control valve. It started fine for awhile. Now won't start when engine is warm.Garage cleared code and said drive for few days and come back for sticker.Passed Ma. inspection.Now check engine light on and won't start when hot.Recieving code Po440.Any suggustions? Thankyou.
