01 Performance Intake questions

I own a 2001 EX CR-V with a 2.0 liter and I am planning on changing out the stock air filter for either a Short Ram Intake or a Cold Air intake. I would rather have a Short Ram Intake because of the risk of Hydro-Lock with a Cold Air Intake when going over puddles. I have been searching the net for about a week now and I found a few options, but none of them are very good and leave me questioning their validity.
This is what I found so far. I am wondering if anyone has done business with these brands or has any suggestions for me.

A generic Cold Air Intake for the 2001 CR-V

A Short Ram intake that has a foam filter which I don't want. I prefer a cotton filter.

Another Short Ram Intake with a foam filter. Also pretty expensive.
Any comments are ---greatly--- appreciated. Thanks.
