Ok, this is my first post on these forums! w00t!
If you couldn't tell from the w00t, I'm a computer person by trade and have only recently been getting into cars. I own a 1998 Grand Am GT with a 2.4L 4-banger under the hood.
Recently, as in for the last month or two, I have been experiencing a problem where my car will sometimes suptter or even die out all together when idleing (at a light, in a parking lot, etc). There doesn't seem to be any common link between each event except that I am not moving and my car is usually in neutral or park (for some reason, I got into the habit of shifting into neutral when waiting at a light). Any ideas? Suggestions?
I have recently replaced my spark plugs with platinum tipped plugs. I have also recently replaced both the oil and air filters. Thanks a lot!

Welcome to AF.
I would suggest getting it scanned to see if thier are any trouble codes(dtc's). Doesnt have to have a Service light to have thrown a code either.
Does it still die/stall when you put it into neutral ?
Any other things you notice... ?
edit>>>
Also you could check your idle air control (IAC) and see if its dirty or not working.
Could be a cloged fuel filter, or other components in the ignition system(ICM or coils)
Did you replace the boots on the plugs ?
They could be bad also.
good luck

Thanks for the welcome and the speedy reply. There are no lights that are on on my dash. As far as inspecting my IAC, how would I go about doing that? Also, the boots looked just fine when i replaced the plugs. Lubed them up and everything and I didn't see any tears or fractures.
As far as stalling in neutral, yes, it has, as well as it has when I've been in drive.
