I know this has gone over, but mainly its been like what do you wear and people just say armor. I know what it is. Im just wondering which is a good brand. I have been going over the internet looking at some. So far i like the Icon vest, it gives both chest and back protection. Is there any other compay that i should look for. Anything would be helpful.

Thanks

I <3 my Fieldsheer mesh jacket. I am also a HUGE fan of my Alpinestars boots. Oh, and my HJC helmet (AC-11). I forget whose gloves I have, but they are kinda sweet, too... Teknic maybe?

Jeans and a t-shirt. Ride smart and keep alert and you won't need armor...

Sorry...been riding for 25 years, never been down. I don't accept that crashing is inevitable.

Now having said that, I'll wad the bike today...just watch...

I'm just being flip. I'm all for protection, I just can't ride feeling all confined. Hopefully it never bites me in the ass....

My sportbike friend wears/swears by Dainese...saved his skin several times..literally..they had to cut up his last ones to get him out of them, zip together full riding suit with the pucks on the elbows and knees and all?

Man, was he pissed.:grinyes: ..I think he was more upset about that than the bike...

I agree with jeffcoslacker. I just wear whatever I would normally wear each day, usually jeans, long sleeved shirt, jacket. I always wear a helmet and don't wear sandles. I've been riding street bikes for 38 years averaging 15,000 miles per year and have never been hurt.

If I were going to be street racing though I would wear the best armor I could get.

I’ve got a black leather vanson jacket (http://www.vansonleathers.com/product_pages/jackets/cob2_cobra.htm) that’s got armor underneath. It’s expensive & hot as hell during the summer days, but its got protection & looks good.

i think the best protection you can have is your own level head.

when i go out for a full ride, full leathers (dainese) gp boots and gloves and a knox back protector.

not so full on ride, kevlar lined jeans, boots gloves and either leather jacket or dainese gortex.

i do ride in jeans and t shirt but nothing silly or full on

Its not my own ability to control the bike that i'm worried aobut, its the cagers with their heads up their asses driving around. I'd rather have it and not need it than vice versa. I sure be pissed ay myself for leaving my gear at home as they're grafting new skin to me in the hospital.

That being said, i wear all Icon gear. Mainframe helmet, cause it matches the bike perfectly, strongarm jacket, hooligan jeans with armor underneath. And joe rocket phoenix summer gloves.

I hate full-face helmets, but if forced to wear one, this would be it (maybe red)...nice looking gear.

I guess if I had those two things I'd need a matching jacket.....OK, OK, I see how this starts now:lol:
