'85 318i 2.0 liter engine conversion

Hello. I am hoping I convert the M10 engine in my '85 318i up to a 2.0 liter using a 2002 crankshaft. Has anyone out there tried this before? From what little info I have found so far its pointing to the rods all being the same for the M10 engines, as same as the 318i cylinder head.
