Hey there,
I got my license about a week ago finally and have been driving my perants cars which is no good. Im working a decent paying job this summer and would love to go back to school with a car of my own.
Ive been researching diffrent cars and would love some help. I will probably only be driving this car for 2 years or so because I might have to sell it for eductation. Im not into the whole lease thing so I will definitly be buying a used vehicle.
The attributes this car should have include:
-Sporty Appearance (eye catching, great paint, rims, spoiler etc etc, none of that steriotypical family sedan stuff)
-Low maintance/ runs well
-Performace (handling, power)
-Great looking interior (CD mp3, leather etc)
Anyways Ive been looking at some Domestic cars and some look good and are pretty cheap but Im more into imports. Id love some suggestions, the bad part is that I only have around 4-6 grand to spend :shakehead
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE -I appreciate it :)

I would get a stock or close to stock CRX Si (few to no mods) in really good condition. Probably a little hard to find bone stock nowadays, but makes for a nice first ride for that amount of cash. Well I guess it won't have power and interior but you can add some of that yourself.
edit: I should also mention that its gonna be pretty hard to find a vehicle with all that stuff you want. The only exception is a moderately to heavy modified vehicle, which i don't believe is a good idea, but would depend on the car though. The fact that you want low maintenence limits your options IMO. For example, an Audi A4 or even a Saab could fit your criteria except for maintenence. While Saabs are by far more reliable, parts/labor ain't cheap and Audi is much worse in this area.

Unfortunately, you can't buy a car on your own until you are 18. You can't enter into any legal agreement until then. Even if you were to buy a car from a private seller, it may not be able to be titled into your name. Even if it were, your parents still technically have the right to sieze/sell/or do with it what they please. I guess it all really depends on how responsible you want to be.....if they have a lot of faith in you, they may purchase a vehicle in their names and transfer the title and/or you can refinance the vehicle when you turn 18.
