First Thing: Does anyone know where I can get a cheap drivers side seat for a 1996 Ford Explorer, non-power.
Secondly; I had someone look at the truck to buy it and they stated all the "problems". The only one I wasn't sure about(or knew they were lying about) was they said the drive shaft is about to break in half. I'm no mechanic, but wouldn't it give some sort of notice(shaking, rumbling, etc...)?

Which driveshaft were they referring to? If you have a 4WD or AWD Explorer, you have 2 driveshafts, one for the front and one for the rear. There are axle shafts inside the rear axle (one to each rear wheel) and halfshafts on the front, one to each front wheel. Maybe they were referring to a split Constant Velocity (CV) boot on a front halfshaft, or maybe they found a bad u-joint.
Either of these may not be obvious to you in the early stages since the wear would be gradual over time, but could be found during a close inspection. Or, maybe they were just trying to get you to lower your price.

I figured they were just trying to lower the price. They didn't do a close inspection. All they did was look underneath the truck, never even drove it.
