H22 has 160lb/ft of torque vs the b16s 111. the H22 will eat the b16 alive

B16A= 160 hp w/ 111 ft/ lbs. of torque
H22A= 195-200 hp w/ 160ft/lbs. of torque
the question is- what car are you planning to put this motor in?

The H22a is not a direct bolt in. Also if your wanting a good handleing car you don't want the H22a because it is very heavy and will screw up your weight balance which on a front engine front wheel drive car already is far from ideal.

Yup... Also, good luck in getting the engine to fit. Its going to be a tight squeeze, and your gonna have to re-do the mounts and everything. Probally not the easiest swap you could have picked.
Why dont you throw a b20 in it and put the b16 or b18 head on it?

A B20A5!!!! with that stroke, and a VTEC head, shit man, your torque.........:rolleyes: Nah a VTEC B20A5 has been done, but power was less than stock B16A. Do not do a CRVTEC or LSVTEC or oldLudeVTEC, just get B18C.

I have read that another problem with the H22 is they tilt back and to the left when you rev. The b series tilts forward and to the right. When I read this I thought "So." And it ends up that this screws with the cross-member and other mounts in your car, which are all made to take a forward tilt.
The site said H22 belongs only in a Prelude. And I'm going to catch a lot of flak for it because I lost the site I found that information on. :p

The B20A5 is from the 91 and older Prelude. I believe that it mounts up differently than all other B series engines, thus it would not be a straight drop in.:cool:

ok, you want a good motor, screw the h22, like it was said, your going to screw up your good handling factor, either do the ls motor, and toss in a GSR crank, and youve got constant hp gain across the rpm band, and it has more tork than either of the b-series and will smoke them, not to mention the real specs for the B16 is the b16A2 JDM is 170 to the crank or flywheel, and the usdm B16A2 is only 160 the the crank/flywheel. though heres a good comparison for you, even thouhg people say not to do the B20 frank conv. we've raced a gutted crx with a B16A2 (170) with intake/header/exhauast/v-tec controller VS a 96 teg with a B20 frank. and i tell you this crx is fast!, but it got worked by the teg by a couple car lengths. though if you want to go all out go for the B18C5, no probs with that one here....

Yea if money is no object go with the b18c5 or b16b forget the h22 unless on top of the motor you want to spend a ton on suspension to counter the weight issue.

Also you said you were thinking about dropping it into an integra why?Get yerself a 5th gen civic hatch or if you want to be really silly go check out www.plmini.com and do that.

Ok well theres a couple of ppl on www.civichatchback.com that has the h22 swap done to a hatchie! Thats all bullshit myth about handeling. Yes you'll lose SOME but not alot! I'd rather go with h22. They make mount kits for them. I believe HCP has the kits out for your integra. You'll need axles from www.raxles.com. Theres alot of shit you need but i can't think on top of my head rite now. If you're goin with b-series what do u want to do? Go all motor or go turbo? If turbo go str8 b20 or ls motor. If all motor go with gsr? I have a b16 in my rex rite now and i do love it but i want more torque. So i'm gonna do it the cheapest way. I'm gonna get me a type r block and mate it with my b16 head.:)
