would it be stupid to buy a 92 lexus sc300 with an engine swapped into it? The guy said the car burned coolant at 117k and the engine fried, so he got the dealership ti install a 95 engine w/ 52,000 miles on it. the car now has 121k on the body and 56,000 on the engine. he says the car is fine except for the paint on top is a bit faded, missing rim cap, and a small hole in the back seat. he wants 7k for it. im just wondering if he treated it like shit or something, cause why else would it burn coolant at 117k? and how long do sc300's usually last? do they go 200k easily or do they need a lot of expensive parts? im going to college soon so i need something reliable. i really want a sc300 but will settle for an es300 with less miles for reliability.

Lexus are known to run at least 350k-400k if well maintained
I'd leave that one alone...there are more out there
look on www.clublexus.com in the classifieds

I have a 93 Lexus SC300 for sale. It has been upgraded to a 96 model. I has 52,500 miles on it. It is SALVAGE, but has not been in an accident. So there is no frame or engine damage. The whole interior is also upgraded to a 96 model. It is gold with biege leather. Call me for more info or email me for pics. [email protected]
