4.6 to 5.0

Mod max sells a stroker kit that turns a 4.6 281 to a 302 has anyone ever used this I was thinking about it but i just need some info to see if it works without any problems.

Not heard of it before. If your going to spend all the money on a stroker kit, why not stroke it out much more then 302? I

I've heard of stroking the 4.6, everyone says you cant get much more cubes than 302, why not just swap in a 5.4

You cant stroke it out more the 302 at least not that ive heard of i dont wanna do a engine swap because that involves a new computer (ecu) however you want to phrase it and so on and to do a swap i would probably have to switch to a engine which is older then my car which is illegal in california.

i know this is an old thread but hey....you can actually turn the 4.6 into a 5.4 by swapping the crank and all the internals...the block and pistons are the same..5.4 is different due to stroke..i have seen it done, not too hard to do, i

I thought the 5.4 block was slightly bigger as far as overall width and diameter.

If you're gonna do that, you might as well just get a 5.4, stroke it, and put some Cobra heads on that bitch.

with new cars you really con't do much but add mods to it and plus it cost alot more too. mods will be the cheapest ways to add horsepower

My opinion is seriously not to bother. If you want power with the modulars, just go forced induction.

Some people want to be different, but the fact remains it wouldn't be such an overwhelmingly popular mod if it wasn't the best.
