No you will need a mount kit, there are plenty of companys that make kits for them HASport makes them.A few other company too cant think of thier names right now...maybe someone can name a few more...

some of the other companies that make mounts are: Place Racing and HCP. I have Place Racing mounts and love them. I heard good stuff about all of them....but I did hear that when Place Racing designed their mounts, they had an SiR front clip in front of them. They designed them to sit in the engine bay as close to the factory SiR location as possible.

I have the HAsport billet mounts. I got a good deal on them so I couldn't pass them up. Otherwise I probably would have gotten the HCP mounts. But the Hasport mounts are awesome. They place the motor for optimal hood clearance and axle angle. They are quite stiff and take the abuse placed on them. Excellent design and performance.:)

could somebody please explain this to me. the car i got my d16z6 out of, which was a 93 civic, had a GSR bolted right in with no motor mount kit or anything, using stock mounts. If a B series will bolt right into a car that has the same mounts as our cars, why wont it bolt right into our cars because the d16z6 is a direct swap.

The newer civics 92-up have a different transmission mount and drivers side mount bracket.

then why does a d16z6 bolt right up? i know the drivers side motor mount is a little bit off on alignment, but it would seem to me that if a b16 would bolt right into a 92+ civic, and the stock engine from a 92+ would bolt right in our cars..........see what im saying?

If you look at the newer transmissions they mount differently...hence why the d16z6 trans will not bolt into our chassis. Plus most mount kits only utilize 3 mounts while when bolting a b series into an eg chassis it uses more than three. The front mount does not line up with the crossmember on the 4g civic/2g crx unless you use the HCP kit which comes with a custom front mount.

I got HCP mounts and i love them! They come in 4 mounts instead of 3 and it sets your engine lower. So you won't have problems with hood clearence. Also if you decide to go turbo ..hcp is the way to go since theres more room in your engine bay.:)
