Hello. I am befuddled. :banghead:

The trunk in my b.f.'s 2000 Altima is just opening by itself...and the latch keeps clicking and clicking and clicking...Get the picture? Well, the blinker noise happens at the same time as the latch is firing. So here is what we tried to do...runaround

Disconnect battery...cant get wing nuts off.

Played around with fuses, still unlocking.

Any one ever have an experience with this? My friend tried to replace the electrical component fuse with a spare, but no dice. She heard and saw the noise too...I am not crazy!:screwy:

Worst case scenario..battery dies and it stops right?!?!:smokin:

Does this only happen when you are either inside or within close proximity to the vehicle? Try disconnecting the battery out of your keyless remote; I think there's a button that might be stuck inside of the remote which might be sending continuous pulse signals to the trunk latch. You will have to pry open the remote with a flat metallic object, a quarter works perfectly. Be careful when you take the batter out (don't break the small metal contacts). If taking out the battery fixes the problem, you have a bad remote.

Good luck! :naughty:
