2004 Caravan has code P0404

Our 04 caravan is giving the code P0404. I have read up on a little and know it has to do with the EGR. As for symptons, all it does is a little bit of hesitation while driving, not during acceleration though. Does anyone know if this part can be cleaned or adjusted or anything of that sort ? thanks in advance for ay input.
