ok had problems w/ my wheel bearings, brakes, and so forth.. i fixed everything and im still having a problem w/ my transmission. basically i took it to a transmission shop and they said it was fine, but errors/sensors were making it shift hard. I fixed everything but p0113 which is IAT sensor. i replaced it, reset my codes.. shifted fine for a few minutes, then BAm.. back to hard shifting.. any ideas?

Possibly a bad connection at the IAT sensor you just replaced? or the new IAT sensor went bad (not likely, but possible). Did you get the same code when it went back to hard shifting?

yes, same code.... so very strange, i took the sensor out, and checked the connections, looked out, unhooked the battery... put sensor back in... reconnected battery... drove fine, few minutes later SEL went off... shifting went rough again, then.. SEL came back on... same code... :(

check to make sure you dont have a vaccum hose loose. i had that happen in my 4cyl and it made it so hard to put it in gear without getting thrown around.

it would be good to know if it is L4 or v6 though

when i replaced my iat sensor the same thing happened, it ended up that the wires and connection should be replaced at the same time, i got them from a dealer for under $20

I'm having a tendency to agree that it sounds like a bad connector, even though it might look good. I know they sell these aftermarket on Rockauto.com. They wouldn't bother selling stuff like this if there wasn't a demand.

The only other thing I can think would be like I said before, possibly a faulty IAT sensor off the shelf.

apparently there is a technical service bulletin about changing the connector as apparently they have had issues with them
