Purchasing a 1992 Honda Civix hatchback from some guy for only $600
i'm wanting to toss the Prelude H22 (2.2 liter dohc vtec) engin in it, with the 5 speed. I've been told that the actuall process is pretty simple but i'm going to need to beef up my entire front end.... ALOT! I was quoted like 5k or more in just front end support for the new engin?!?!? Springs, struts, control arms, shocks, sub frame the hole thing would have to be like a prelude front end.... but i was also told that the prelude front contrl arms and suspension is too big and would stick out some where the tires would rub in my wheel well. And that my front clip may not even fit after all the front end work.
If anyone has any insight to wtf i can do about all this please respond.
If you in fact have this car PLEASE let me know what all you had to do.

hey,
I've got a buddy was considering the same swap in his 95 dx hatch, and other then the control arms, bushings (energy suspension), springs (eibach), struts (kyb agx), we were told that we'd just need beefed up axles (modified lude or teggy...CANT REMEMBER, SORRY!...its been awhile and we're working on a diff engine for it now), dunno if thats all u'd need but thats all we were told we'd need.

www.raxles.com makes custom axles for that specific swap. Get a gsr front suspension and you'll be fine.

I would have to say go with a different swap you should go with a B18C1 or C5 if you don't like those then go with a CTR a B16B engine there awsome and they bolt right up all you need is an HCI engine mount kit it's about $500 to $600
