Hey peeps, im new to the street perfomance world and I'm looking for the biggest bang for my buck for hp gain. I just bought a stock Eclipse 2004 GS and am about to go crazy with buying toys for it. Suggestions? Also, Does anyone know the best way to get auto sponsorship for free parts in trade for advertising space on the side panels? Thanks, hope to get some responses.

You might wanna visit the 2000+ Eclipse forum, this is 2g and the all superior 1G only.
There I fixed that for you.
In all honesty dude, you should have done some research before you just went and bought a car. Despite what Fast and the Furious has told us, the 3g Eclipse is not a good car for modding. Going with an intake, header, and exhaust along with some other things such as stickier tires and maybe a short throw or something, about as fast as you are going to get is a low 15. If you wanted to boost the car, that could work but that takes lots of know how and time if you do it yourself, or a lot of money if you are going to pay someone to do it.
Also, sponsorships dont just walk along to anyone particularly solely street driven cars. You would need to drop all sorts of money into the car to make it fast enough or sexy enough to get any sponsorships and you would need to be doing some serious damage on a show, drag, or race track to score one.
So I guess my first piece of advice for you if you want to see any remotely respectable times would be to either sell your 3g or leave it stock and buy a project car with more potential. If you tell us exactly what you are looking for (ET, hp numbers, etc) we can tell you how to get it, but know that its going to be hard with that 3g.

the best bang for your buck on a 4cyl is to build a turbo kit. Which means you have much to research and learn before you start buying ANYTHING at all.

I'm Reconsidering, lol, maybe I will take thor's advice and turn this into a show car instead and find myself a better project car.... however i do have a engine from a plymouth laser sitting at my old residence, i will have to check a cross over to see if i can exhange them out.

^^^nope. engine faces wrong way.^^^
EVO head swap+ EVOIII 16G = Best Turbo setup for this engine.
The 4G64 in our cars are basicly stroked evo engines.
But you need to do ALOTA research b4 going that route.
Ive been studying for over a year and a half and still only have my mani/turbo.
If you do become serious about making power in this car, this is the way to go. But while you do research I'd invest money in suspension, motor mounts, brakes, and a good LSD.
