Hi
I would be grateful if someone could give me some idea about what the problem is with my 2000 accent.
For the past few months I have had a reoccurring problem with it not starting (turns over will not fire). This is intermittent, as I can go two weeks with out of problem, and then suddenly just will not start. I have also noticed around this time that it is rough idling, and also appears that the engine fan remains on a lot longer than normal. It also does not run that great when I put my foot down. (this is also intermittent but around the time I have trouble starting it)
I also have a check engine light on reading code P1128, could this be the cause?
I understand this relates to a faulty MAF, but I have also been informed that it could also be a faulty TPS sensor, an idle speed actuator or a faulty valve in the evap canister.
Anybody have any ideas before a spend £60 on a new MAF. I am a single dad, and a bit short of cash (no need for violins).
Thanks for reading
Jeff

I should say it could be a MAF issue.Try to check it then you can replace it with new Hyundai parts (http://www.speedyperformanceparts.com/hyundai-parts.html) MAF.goodluck my friend.
