yeah, if you're a camaro guy, this is surely the movie for you. Special fx are untouchable! Badass movie. Bumble bee vs. Barricade was one of the highlights for me. heh heh

i'd put serious money on it. This movie is by far the best action flick i have ever seen. I've seen it 3 times already and will probably see it 2 more times this week. If you are a GM fan, you will love this movie since all of the autobots except optimus are GM vehicles.

ya, you know in most special fx movies you kinda watch for the parts that you can tell are fake. but there really wasnt anything that jumped out at me like that in this one. it looked awsome and as reallistic as 20ft tall transforming robots possibly could. I've only seen it once, though.

Ya know, I have a buddy who has no life... And he sat up for like 7 hours straight trying to figure that thing out. He finally posted a bulletin on myspace explaining it and it has me wondering now... I'll post up what he said here so you can see if you follow it. lol


did anyone see transformers? more importantly, did anyone see the trailer that played before the film? you know, the one about the guy going to japan, the one that has something to do with a large scale attack on NYC, the one where there is the cryptic line shouted duing the mayhem "did anyone see that lion? it ws huge!"? anyway, since seeing the trailer that, i have to admit i didnt pay any attention too at first and just passed it off as another big budget popcorn flick began to replay in my mind over and over after reading an artical about it on ign.com. the trailer displays no title, just these two things, produced by j.j. abbrams and a date, 1.18.08. after doing a little researching i came across three websites linked to the film that, i have to say don't clear up any confusion but yet creates more. the first and strangest is ethanhaaswasright.com, at this site you will be presented with 5 puzzles, after compltion of each, very challenging puzzle your treated to an video clip of a man named Van who explains some about a propechy and war. what war you ask? what propechy? who knows. after finishing all the puzzles (which can take upwards to 5 hours) you are given one last thing, a code and a date, the code - 54132 and the date of august 1st 2007 (8/1/07) so what does this mean? well the only thing ive found is that you will return to this site on that date and enter that code. what will happen? supposedly you will get a message, but no one knows for sure (oh, a hint, return to the site an finish the puzzles a second time, there you will be presented with a word "divinus" then the same date (8/1/07) and are asked to enter your email address, enter your address and click remind me, you will get an auto response that reads "if your reading this i've alreay gone into hiding...tell all...") the second site ethanhasswaswrong.blogsport.com (caution, this site is in a different language most computers ive found can't decypher) the third and most hauntin site is 1-18-08.com in which youll only get two things. picures on a black background. the first is a picure from the going away party at the begining of the trailer (note: the date and time on the photo, it reads 1-18-08 and the time is 12:01 am) in this picture wee see "rob" the character who is leaving town surrounded by friends laughing and celebrating (note: only one person has their back to the camera, if you haven't seen the trailer i won't ruin the suprise) the second photo is a close up on two female faces, eyes looking up and out of the top right corner of the frame (note: that the date is the same on both photos, however the time is 35 minutes later.) in between the two womens heads is what some think is an image of some sort of face or demonic figure. no i know what you thinking, what is so "haunting" about this site? well, leave the site up for a while (sorry i'm not certain as to how long) and eventually the two photos begin to spin...all except the man who's back was toward us in the first pic, at this point he is now looking us dead in the eyes with a very sinister face. i have to say, i know this is all just marketing but really its prolly some of the most effective ideas used to sell a film. i mean come on, i've spent all night looking up shit on this thing AND I DON"T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IT'S CALLED, all i know is some bullshit title "cloverfield". ive heard rumors that point to the film being one of three things (these are the most believable theories...in my opinion) the first (and god help me, let it be true!!!!) is that this is really a teaser for the long awaited "Voltron" film based on the 1980's cartoon, this would make sense given some clues, the biggest being the line "did anyone see that lion? it was huge!" spoken in the trailer during the chaos, as well as the fact that latino review as posted their review of the "Voltron" script, which includes the story of alien invaders attacking earth (most importantly NYC) and taking over the planet within 24hrs. also, another interesting fact is that this mystery film "cloverfield" is being put out by paramount pictures, the same company who owns the rights to the "Voltron" film. the second theory is that this is the sequal to the micheal bay film "Godzilla", now, this could also be for a couple reasons. first, during the chaos in the trailer there is a loud "godzilla-like" roar right before a lage explosion that sends the head of the statue of liberty flying high above the city and landing right infront of the shakey camera. another thing that could point to this being a possibility is that the way this trailer was premiered was before a Micheal Bay film (who directed the last godzilla for the same company...paramount) the third theory is that this is an original monter invasion film losely based on the works of an author named H.P. Lovecraft, which would be told thru home video cameras and a small group of people who are experiencing this event. the story would revolve around a prophecy about a legendery creature in which brings for the end of the planet. this is the same kind of thing that you find in lovecraft's stories. as for me, im not sure, cuz everything i dig up on this film leads me into a new direction, when looking at the websites one could believe that this is a film about some sort of biblical "end of days", but when you dig deeper you find different possibilities, some as far fetched as another "war of the worlds" remake, and even a "Gears of War" film. i'm not sure. i'd like to see it go towards being "Voltron" rather then some monster movie, but i guess theres no way to know at this point. so in conlusion i suggest everyone check these things out for themselves and see what they can come up with.

Ok, just saw the movie. F-ING SWEET! I was humping the chair in front of me half of the movie. The camaro/mustang chase in the beginning was orgasmic, because that was me and my boy (he's got the tricked out stang and I got the Z). All around awesome. Definately going to go see it again.

And I want to know what that mystery preview is too. I would read the previous post, but I have to be up in a few hours for school orientation and I am tired.
