hi, i have a question about 15" subs: ok for my trunk the max a enclosure can is 15.5 inchs high until it hits truck opening devices. and because of that i thought i couldn't get a 15" sub but then i hear that you can do something like a wedge type shape to make one fit. here are my dimmensions for my truck. 36 inchs across 15.5 " high and 30 inchs deep. so do think i could possable do like 2 15"?

a wedge shape will give you more front board space, you only need an inch or two so the angle shouldn't be too bad.

would i have enough space for a 2 15 that each one needs 4 cubic feet tuned to 34 hz.?

Wow 4 cubes is pushing it in that space, the one for the atlas is 18" wide x 20" tall x 30 " deep if i remember right. And its 3.65 @ 32hz. One 15 maybe but 2 is really pushing it.

oh well. how much deep sounding would to 15" make over 2 12"

deep sounding (low bass) has more to do with the sub and box design. Some 12's have better low bass than some 15's. The real thing is pushing air volume, if you want the same volume at half the freq, you have to push twice the air - that's the simple physics part.

i guess 2 12's are fine then

depends on the volume you want at the lower freqs, 12's will be a LOT easier to make a box for if you are limited on volume in the trunk.

yea i and i tired using 3 different subwoofer enslucures programs and none of them say that i can build one to fit 2 15 even at compact specs.

I have a 15 in the trunk of my Camry. Camrys are notorious for having tiny trunk openings. I have my woofer firing upwards, which may not be the best for it and it rattles my trunk lid and rear deck to pieces, but hey, there's dynamat.
I'd go with two twelves. the hassle I went through for this 15 isn't worth it IMO...If I had a louder woofer, I'd be happy but as of now, my system is fairly SQL...
