My engine light came on, on my 2002 astro awd. Checked it with a code reader and got a code P1345 - cam postition sensor / crank position sensor correlation. I did some digging and found out that it is probably my cam sensor that is not reading correctly. So I took the van to my local GM dealer and without even bringing the van inside he tells me that it is probably the distributor gear that is worn and I need to replace the distributor. Other than the engine light being on the van starts right up, runs great and has the same gas consumption with no hesitation or anything out of the ordinary.
Is it possible that my distibutor gear is almost gone? Should I start with simply changing my cam sensor?
Thanks for any help!

Just got a cam sensor last night, I will change it today and see if that solves the issue. I hope it does.

changed the cam sensor today, cleared the code, and P1345 code came back again. Should I look at changing my crank sensor also or should I look elsewhere? Van runs, starts and accelarates fine. Also no change in fuel economy.
