Even with a CAI you won't really improve your mpg without changing your exhaust too. More air in means you need more exhaust out to be efficient. This mod will only improve you mpg slightly if any. A custom tune along with a CAI and exhaust will improve your mileage about 1 to 1.5 mpg. Doing these mods is actually for more power and not for better gas mileage. The best way to get better gas mileage is keeping a lighter foot on the pedal and not letting your tachometer go above 2000 rpms. Many of the truck sites will tell you that keeping your tach at 2000 or lower especially when cruising will give you much better mileage.
