Oh Crap...

96 Tahoe, 4WD 128K. Just got in it this morning and reverse doesn't work at all. It didn't make a noise or anything, just acts like it's in neutral. Ran the car for a while, checked the fluid levels and everything there seems fine.

I just want someone to try to tell me anything but the inevitable.

Oh, p.s. the battery died on the way home last night, could this have done anything to the computer to not allow it to engage reverse? long shot i know....I'll be calculating how much money I wont have this month... thanks for the help.:banghead:

Does it go in drive... My guess is the same thing that is wrong with my Burban... The reaction sun shell went out. It has been down 6 weeks. it is going to cost me a pretty penny to fix.

yeah drive works perfectly. have a feeling this isn't going to be pretty. if anyone would like to contribute to the bullsh#t tahoe transmission fund i'll be happy to send an address.

lol.... I need one of those funds too. Our anicent car which has to be our reliable transportation, a 92 Cavalier, decided to act up and huuby had to dip into our suburban fund to get parts.
