If you take care of it, this Jeep will last a really long time. I have seen many with the same combination last for up to 300,000 miles. It's critical that you stay on top of the transmission maintenance, change the fluid regularly. You should do the sam with the engine. As long as you don't put a tire on it thats too large, or overrev the motor constantly, it will last longer than you would like to keep it. I would suggest switching to a good synthetic oil for a good long life. Also make real sure to use the ATF+3 or ATF+4 transmission fluid when you add or refill your tranny fluid. I would stay wil tires 33" and smaller, you would really need a lower set of gears for a 33" tire. Personally I would stay with a 31x10.50 tire. This is a decent size tire for a Jeep, and will not make street driving miserable, I am assuming you will be on the street about 90 percent of the time. Hope this helps. Enjoy your Jeep!

thanks, im leaning towards 31.10.5 with 1.75 coil spacer kit. currently has 15x8 alloys with 3.73 gears. would that combo work ? with stock rubber it turns about 2300 to 2500 rpm at 55 mph. would going to the 31" tire call for a gear change? sorry to sound stupid but i do want to get my ducks in row before i start spending money. thanks again!

You'll be ok with a 31 x 10.50 tire with the stock gears. With the four cylinder 3.73 gears wouldn't hurt. A 31" tall tire won't hurt you as long as most of driving is on the street, if you go off road a lot you will want a lower gear. I would just put the 31's on it and drive it. See what you think then go from there. Now if you said you wanted a 33" tire I would say a gear swap would be in order.
