My 98 RS is SLOW AS HELL! HELP

Hey Guys....my rs is horrible....i ran 0-60 in like 11 seconds today.....I think Ive lost so much power since I originally got it......I would hate to see my quarter mile time....

Also, I got beat by an Explorer......we raced from 30 mph to about 90 and I just gave up.....

My question is, would this lost of power be due to my engine having 100k miles? What mods could I do to greatly help me get to my stock 140 hp? how much would it cost to sell my current engine and get a stock engine thats new? thanks

I have a '97 GS with 113K miles, and it's no where as slow as that, so the milage is not your problem. But non the less, your car is definetely having problems, and you might wanna stay away from mods until you fix that problem. And an engine swap will cost a couple grand to do. It might not be needed if the problem doesn't involve the engine either. Is your check engine light on? If it is or isn't, you should take it to a Mitsubishi or Chrysler dealer to have the problem checked with, anywhere else will bullshit you for cash.

try a compression test. also look at your sparkplugs and wires. Go to www.2gnt.com and the guys will help you find out whats wrong and help you fix the problem.
