Daring new project!!!

After watching 'The Fast And The Furious' at the cinema last night, I have been inspired to start a new project.

The cars in the film are all super modified Japanese road cars, and the best kit I found was Tamiya's New Celica.

I am piecing together parts from the spares box, and this is what I have come up with so far. All parts will need molding into place, then a wicked paint job applied on top with graphics.

Big 18" wheels have been sourced, and the car will have a loud coloured interior and big Sound system.

Work proper will start as soon as I finish my S2000!

If you can get your hands on American Revell kits, the Integra Type R has big flashy decals that totally fit the bill. Hell, maybe I'll just send you mine, if you think they'll work. Let me know; I'll try to find pics of them... :D

It's only Rice if it's made to look fast and it isn't. If it's fast, your allowed to make it look silly :). It's like plastering Cobra symbols all over my Marquis, when I know damned well there are NO Cobra Mustang parts on her....

Most are parts from other cars, the sills are of the R34, the front spoiler off a Porsche GT2., rear wing off the DTM Merc!
They need to be reduced in size a bit, they are too deep at the moment!

Colour wise, I recieved some prismatic purple pearl laquer, so want to apply that over a white base, that will give me a subtle white pearl colour, then add some blue graphics.

S2000 is gonna show me some decals, so might see if that changes those plans.

Suspension is probably going to need a lot of work, those wheels are wide and the car must be very low.

But I think most of the parts will be off other kits, no scratchbuilding!

Depends how hard you look. They're supposed to be silver and white.

I'm probably going to buy another Revell Integra eventually, so if you want to use these decals now... they'll just sit in the box here. :rolleyes:

OK......Have the wing but no supports brackets from the body to the wing.

Have the whole front nose cone. You should already have these from the Kure kit ???

hahah yeah right! i saw it soo long ago. like more than 3 months

i also got a really high quality screener version that i burned onto VCDs and I watch it in my DVD player on the TV :D

I think I will end up doing it all by hand!
I have some time anyway, as I want to finish the S2000 and my R34 first!
The Celica will need some work adding the Aero kit!

I meant masking all the graphics by hand then applying the paint through an airbrush, rather than relying on decals!

i checked and all the models are R32 and R33, those are great and all, but i have my heart set on an R34. the only R34's i could find were diecast. maybe i'm using the wrong search words. i typed in Nissan Skyline. what else should i try?

I search for "1/24 Skyline" I have it saved in my myEbay Favorite searches. You can set it up to email you when new stuff shows up in your search...

I recently figured out a super-search to look for almost everything I want, all at once... Try:
"1/24 +(honda,nissan,toyota,subaru,mitsubishi)"
